Bringing Information Technology based education to rural schools! On August 11th 2008 Kalanjiyam launched a first of its kind effort in rural schools, bringing information technology based education or computer aided learning in partnership with Everonn Systems India Limited. The program was launched in What is computer aided education? It is the use of computer and information technologies to teach students their regular school syllabus. The primary goal of computer aided education to increase the learning capacity among students and the effectiveness and productivity of teachers. The use of visualized materials and computer graphic images enable better understanding of concepts and subject matters and therefore enhance learning among students. This program has now been launched in Since April 2008 we have been assessing the feasibility of introducing a rigorous computer aided education for rural schools. We therefore initiated dialogue with Everonn Systems. We selected one school in our area, We are happy to be able to bring this current effort in partnership with Everonn Systems. We believe these program will make a difference for student’s learning and therefore bring vast benefits for the future of these students and therein the communities in our villages. We believe that our program will help to bridge the gap created by the digital divide, between the urban and rural areas… In the upcoming years we plan to work with Everonn Systems to bring this for more classes in |
