Stories!!!!!!!! The very word brings back memories of us, as kids, lazily lying in our granny's lap, rapt with attention, listening to her engrossing narration of a popular bedtime story. Here comes PAPARA MITTAI, a collection of familiar stories, retold musically. The title is suggestive of the yester year attractive pink, sugary, stretching candy, which we adults have relished in our childhood.
In an effort to tap up the dormant creative and imaginative skills in children, Kalanjiyam has produced PAPARA MITTAI, using children. Narrated in a simple and clear style, by a child, these stories are both entertaining and educative. The use of animal characters and music makes the narration more interesting, to listen to. Kalanjiyam produced Pappara mittai I which was a great success. Today, one year after the release of the first volume, we continue to get requests from children and adults seeking copies from Maithri Educational and Charitable Trust, T Nagar, and State Bank of India, Chennai have supported this current effort by sponsoring copies for distribution. PAPPARA MITTAI Volume I and II will be available free of cost to all children.
